The Integrated Materials Research Center for a Low-Carbon Society　(LC-IMR) was founded in April, 2010 for the promotion of integrated research in materials science to contribute to achievement of Low-carbon Society. The main aim of LC-IMR is to support outstanding projects in the field of materials research which will contribute to making low-carbon emissions a reality from various perspectives, from energy-saving to energy-harvesting and storage. We are also pursuing active collaboration with research groups outside our institution. Cooperation between the industry, the general public and the university will be sought through workshops and actively making information available.
